In the course of a engagement to Lichfield Cathedral on Monday, the King was heckled by a individual who questioned him about Prince Andrew's relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The protester demanded to know how long the King had been known about his brother's association with Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the authorities to "cover up" for Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were large groups of well-wishers and applause for the monarch, who was in the region for an event.

Prince Andrew's associations with Epstein have been under intense scrutiny in the past few weeks. The prince, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has categorically denied any misconduct.

"How long have you known about Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Have you asked the police to conceal for Andrew?"

The King ignored the questions but carried on meeting supporters, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One fan can be heard requesting him for a embrace.

Another woman outside the cathedral was also heard telling the heckler to "go away" and to "shut up".

Controversy Reignited by Memoir

The scandal over the Duke of York's links to Jeffrey Epstein has been brought back into focus by sexual abuse claims detailed in Ms. Giuffre's posthumously-published book.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre claims she had sexual encounters with the royal on three separate occasions, including once with Jeffrey Epstein and "several other minors"

Andrew, who reached a financial settlement with the plaintiff in 2022, has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In a previous interview, he told a news program he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "at all", and that they "never had any sort of intimate relations."

Fresh Questions Over Finances and Housing

But recently, fresh questions have been raised about how he is able to finance his lifestyle despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a nominal fee on his Windsor mansion has intensified the examination over his living arrangements - even though he made significant contributions up front, including for improvements.

The political party said he should be summoned front of members of parliament to give testimony about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last Thursday, the government declined to give MPs time to debate the prince's status or his home, despite increasing calls for investigation.

The royal household has not issued a statement on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his home - or where he might reside.
